LIAM MCGUINTY is a second year student at the School of Public Policy and Governance, University of Toronto, where he is focused on Canadian economic and social policy. He is a recipient of the Cadario Fellowship award.

In 2010, Liam interned at the City of Toronto’s Public Realm Office, where he drafted a report on the City’s operation and maintenance cost agreements. Prior to attending the School of Public Policy and Governance, Liam worked on Parliament Hill as the legislative assistant to the Hon. Marlene Jennings, P.C., M.P. in Ottawa, Ontario. Liam also completed an internship in the office of former Liberal Party of Canada Leader, Hon. Bill Graham, P.C., M.P.

Liam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University, where he focused primarily on Canadian politics. He has volunteered and assisted in the organization of numerous federal, provincial and municipal election campaigns. His former band, ManicShift, performed several concerts for charity in the Ottawa area. Liam is fluent in English and French.
